WijkbotKit Modular

A team of IPO (Industrial Product Design) students from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences created a modular version of the WijkbotKit in semester 23 of the 2023/2024 academic year.

A combination of sheet materials and connectors makes it possible to quickly create a volume with great freedom. The modular WijkbotKit is specifically designed for workshops, such as those at PublicSpaces.

The team ran a quick workshop themselves and developed three concepts, combining the best elements into the final model.

Elements can be stored in a specially designed case that fits on the Wijkbot platform. The basic version uses wooden panels, but cardboard sheets can also be used, making the kit accessible for all ages.

The 3D-printed connectors can be fixed with recessed bolts.
